One 40kg bag of simcrete floor screed requires approximately 18 – 20% by weight of pure water to provide a workable mix.

Directions for use
- Place the required amount of Drymix Floor Screed into a mixer or onto a non-absorbent surface.
- Add potable water gradually ensuring that it does not wash away any cement and mix thoroughly to ensure an even and consistent mix
- Surface must be free of dust/loose particles, grease, mould oil, rust metal, wood peels, paints and plastics.
- Pre-wetting of substrate: Surface must be dampened/moistened before the application of Floor Screed. Ensure there is no stagnant or frequent water flow on substrate while applying the screed.
- The material should be applied within 1 hour of preparation. The Screed can be applied to the required thickness by a manual method
- All tools and equipment should be cleaned with water after use. Do not re-temper the mortar if it stiffens. Discard the stiffened product and make a new mix.
- Curing of the Screed must be done by creating check bunds for water stagnation, for a minimum period of 1 (one) week.
